BOOM Ep 4 “I don’t know but I’ve been told …”

Don’t Play with Things that go Boom

There wasn’t room for us at Fort Ord, so the Army loaded us on busses and sent us across the country to a place called Fort Polk, Louisiana.

This was where they would take a bunch of us civilians and try to make us look like soldiers.

They had a job in front of them.

Broken Hearts

“There is no class of people exempt from broken hearts. The rich and the poor suffer alike. There was a time when I used to visit the poor that I thought all the broken hearts were to be found among them, but within the last few years I have found there are as many broken hearts among the learned as the unlearned, the cultured as the uncultured, the rich as the poor.”

Let Them Save You

Words worth thinking about

When the people of Israel turned away from God and began worshipping the “gods” of the people around them, God turned away from them.

They went through severe trials and once again cried out to the true God.

God answered them.

“… you have forsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”

Judges 10:14 (ESV)

Have you rejected the one true God?

Will the “gods” you have chosen rescue you?
